Halloween Countdown: Three Weeks!

In three short weeks Alter Ego will be celebrating Halloween and we are thrilled that this fun and spooky holiday is falling on the weekly holiday known as "New Comic Day!"

This year the whole industry is celebrating with Halloween ComicFest, an event celebrating comics and community.

Here is the scoop on what we'll be up to that day:

• Adults and children will receive special gifts if they come in wearing costumes!
• Store-wide sales, including 50% off backstock comics and 25% off all independent trades/hardcovers.
• We will be dragging out a few of our over-stock boxes and selling issues for $1.00 each.
• Candy! We'll have lots of yummy candy to go around!
• Cupcakes! I'll use any event as an excuse to eat cupcakes!
• FREE COMIC BOOKS! We will have a selection of special Halloween themed comic books to give away.

We'll be celebrating all day, Wednesday, October 31st, please join us!

Walking Dead Action Figure Giveaway!

We are celebrating the return of AMC's awesome series, The Walking Dead with a super great giveaway! Stop in to enter to win a set of 4 Walking Dead action figures. These figures are based on the television series and feature Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, a Zombie Walker and a Zombie Roamer. Each figure comes with it's own array of accessories (like a crossbow for Daryl!)

We will be accepting entries until March 10th. No purchase necessary!

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on Sunday, February 12th at 8:00 pm. The new Walking Dead comic book hits the shelves every month here at Alter Ego!

Hey Kids! Did You See Green Lantern?

When Green Lantern hits the big screen on June 16th we'll be ready with tons of Green Lantern books, action figures and shirts...but even better, we'l be starting a special promotion ust for kids 12 and under!

Kids can bring in a Green Lantern ticket stub and redeem it for a special bag of goodies featuring an exclusive comic book, a postcard, a door hanger, a button and a randomly colored plastic ring..ALL FREE!

We have a very limited number of these bags so don't lose that ticket stub and be sure to stop in before they are all gone!

We have a very limited number of these fantastic promotional posters featuring the art of Ivan Reis, and we are giving them away for free!

How can you score one of these posters? Simple, just come in and ask for one! Well...not exactly THAT simple, you'll have to say the SUPER SECRET PHRASE...something along the lines of "I sure am glad DC is drawing the line at $2.99!"
